The Capital Markets week is a week-long event organized by the Capital Markets Authority in partnership with capital markets industry stakeholder; The weeklong event includes several concurrent initiatives countrywide during the same week that will culminate into the Capital Markets Open day.
The initiatives will run from May 3rd, 2017 to May 6th, 2017 and a Capital Markets Open day at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Tsavo Ballroom.
The event targets participants from business and professional communities, the County Government as well as the General Public within various regions of Kenya, Nairobi County and its environs.
The week’s objective is to create an environment where current and potential investors and Issuers may interact with various capital market Intermediaries and listed companies to receive pertinent information that will assist them to make informed decision while participating in the capital markets industry. The event is also intended to give exhibitors an opportunity to market their products and services to the public.
Exhibitors will have an opportunity to: -
- Interact with current and potential investors on one on one basis.
- Provide information on their institution’s products and services.
- Interact with other institutional investors.
- Participate in the Open Day Conferences.
- Increase the image and visibility of their institution
Some of the institutions expected to exhibit at the Open Day during the Capital Markets week include, the Capital Markets Authority, the Central Depository and Settlement Corporation, Listed Companies, Private Equity and Venture Capital Firms, Banks, Fund Managers, Stockbrokers, Custodians, Investment Banks, Investment Advisors among others.
